MY STORY
I was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and moved with my family to Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2000, I emigrated to California, where I began working in a prestigious food service advertising and marketing agency focusing on premium brands. I worked with many renowned chefs, food stylists and food photographers, and on numerous occasions, attended the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena. It was here that I was able to learn from some of the best chefs and instructors in the country. In addition, I worked with many celebrity restaurateurs who influenced my style of cooking as well as my ability to make food look beautiful. After years of cooking unprofessionally for friends and family, I began working with a small catering business and in 2012, decided to start teaching cooking on a part-time basis. I now teach groups of women, men and children in homes throughout Los Angeles and cook for private families as well cater for dinner parties and small-medium sized events.
I also consult with many families on designing menus that are strategic and unique to my clients’ preferences ensuring that they are well balanced and nutritious.
I am an innovative and exciting self-taught chef who blends many different cuisines into my dishes to produce harmonious, beautifully prepared and exquisitely presented meals.
